Dior Tie Dye Summer Look

We’re so ready for summer thanks to this brand new launch! The Dior Tie Dye Summer Makeup Look is all about having fun with colour, taking inspiration from the wild yet elegant look of tie dye and interpreting its spirit into a makeup look. The result? A collection that’s bursting with both harmony and contrast, encouraging you to mix and match for a glistening, multi-faceted look. What could be better?
Despite the kaleidoscopic appearance of the range, each product is so easy to wear. Cheeks glow, lips gleam and eyes flash in blue and gold.
Let’s take a closer look…
Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye Edition
in 001 Pink Sunrise and 002 Coral Sunrise
The star of the collection is Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye Edition, a showstopping blusher in two swirling colour harmonies: 001 Pink Sunrise and 002 Coral Sunrise. These blushes are perfect for summer, brightening up cooler skin tones with fuchsia pink (Pink Sunrise) and reviving warm tones with pretty, peachy coral (Coral Sunrise). A low key infusion of shimmer illuminates cheekbones, making the overall effect rather goddess-like.
Best applied with the included kabuki or a medium-to-full density brush, each powder buffs on seamlessly to create a sheer and natural-looking glow. They’re the sort of shades that will easily take you through summer, from the first rays of sunshine in the city, to high summer months spent in more exotic climes, and back again, as your tan’s fading at the end of the season. Simply target the brighter or muted shades in the pan, and adjust your glow to your liking.
Dior Addict Lipstick Tie Dye Edition
in 001 Red Bliss, 002 Coral Trip, 003 Hypnotic Plum,
004 Cosmic Pink, 005 Fuchsia Utopia & 006 Nude Fever
Another unexpected twist comes in the form of the Addict Tie Dye Lipstick, a balmy, sheer-to-medium coverage lipstick with a shot of contrasting colour through the bullet. It’s a really fun twist on an everyday lip!
The six shades mostly cover the red and pink end of the spectrum. 001 Red Bliss offers a beautifully balmy strawberry hue with a touch of pale pink; 002 Coral Trip pairs a peachy coral shade with a touch of red; 003 Hypnotic Plum is a rich berry with a little bit of peach; 004 Cosmic Pink is a juicy raspberry shade with a flash of pink; 005 Fuchsia Utopia is a cool, pinked fuchsia with a core of pale pink; and finally, 006 Nude Fever is a rich toffee hue with a touch of nude at the centre.
Diorskin Fluid Stick Tie Dye Edition
in 229 Beige Passion, 379 Tropiques, 449 Ciel Rose & 779 Plaisir
Dior Addict Fluid Stick is one of my favourite lip products (read the full review here). Part gloss, part lipstick and packed full of pigment, the makeup bag essential is so much fun to wear – one swipe, and you’re hooked.
This summer there’s some fresh new additions in the form of the Addict Fluid Stick Tie Dye Edition. 229 Beige Passion is a chic peachy nude; 379 Tropiques is the perfect beachy coral; 449 Ciel Rose is an electrified rosy pink; and 779 Plaisir is a flashy, hot fuchsia.
Diorshow Kohl Tie Dye Edition
in 379 Pearly Turquoise & 559 Pearly Platine
For eyes, the Tie Dye look fuses electic colour and molten metal. Each pigment-packedDiorshow Khol Tie Dye Edition eyeliner has phenomenal glide, depositing a rich line of colour that resists smudging throughout the day.
379 Pearly Turquoise is a deep, subtly shimmering aquatic blue, and 559 Pearly Platine is a glistening metallic gold. Striking yet low maintenance – just what you want for summer.
Dior Vernis Tie Die Edition
in 239 Sunkissed, 319 Sunwashed, 464 Sundown & Tie Dye Top Coat
The limited edition offering for nails is so strong this year – I defy you to resist these sunbleached hues! For the nude lovers there’s the pretty, fleshy beige of 239 Sunkissed; for those who like their summer colour a little more daring, there’s the lemony tang of 319 Sunwashed; and finally, 464 Sundown offers a beautiful coral pink to set off your tan.
My favourite part of the collection is the Tie Dye Top Coat, a translucent hot pink that helps you to create an effortless ombre, demonstrated above. To achieve the effect, you apply just three coats of colour: one full coat for the base, a second coat one third from the base, and a third coat at the very tips. It’s the simplest and most impactful summer manicure, ever.
