Daniel Sandler Neon Watercolour Blushers
Share
There’s something about brightly coloured summer make-up that is so instantly appealing, isn’t there? The first big launches in an upcoming wave of SS14 make-up are the Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blushers in Acid and Trip, a pair of neon shades that scream fun in the sun.
Never one to shy away from colour, Daniel Sandler has hit the spot with these two instantly appealing shades. Acid, a cool highlighter pink, and Trip, a juicy tangerine, are wearable neons optimised to suit a summer tan and darker skin, though the fluidity of the texture means you can customise your coverage for a more natural result.
Each tiny bottle contains 15ml of concentrated blusher. Although they’re minuscule in size, each bottle lasts forever as you only use a couple of drops each time. The needle nose nozzle makes iteasy to dispense just a drop or two from the squeezy little bottle, and that’s truly all you need for a pretty flush.
Upon close inspection, you can see that the shades aren’t all-out neons – they’re tamed slightly with a gorgeous glimmering texture. Both Acid and Trip have a smattering of silver microshimmer, which after blending presents itself as more of a light-reflecting, healthy sheen than a traditional sparkle. It’s an ideal finish for such strong colour.
And you can how pretty that sheen is here. The above swatches were created from a single drop of Watercolour Blusher and lightly blended with the Waterbrush, though you can create a more diffused effect with a duo fibre brush. Once dried, the Watercolour Blushers last longer than any blush I’ve ever tried – and I’ve trialled a fair few!
If you’re not keen on lots of colour, you’ll be pleased to know that these shades blend out beautifully to offer a hint of brightness. I apply Acid with a light hand as a pop of pink high on the cheeks, and Trip as more of a sculptural peach. I really can’t wait to go all-out neon in the summer, though…
