Crabtree & Evelyn English Honey & Peach Blossom

Crabtree & Evelyn English Honey and Peach Blossom Review

Re-Branded Signature (Emma) copy

With winter in full swing (and the weather showing no signs of letting up), this new collection has arrived just in time. The Crabtree & Evelyn English Honey and Peach Blossom bodycare range is inspired by the healing and moisturising properties of honey, which not only gives the range some real dryness-busting prowess, but also a seriously delectable aroma.

The range is made up of shower gel, two body moisturisers, a hand cream and two balms, but I wanted to focus on two products that I’ve really fallen for since I began my trial: the English Honey and Peach Blossom Body Butter, and the English Honey and Peach Blossom All-Purpose Balm.

Crabtree & Evelyn English Honey and Peach Blossom Body Butter

I love the packaging of the Body Butter. It’s a nice mix of modernity and retro botanical print, plus the tub is reassuringly chunky. In terms of its contents, the rich and indulgent body moisturiser is a prime example of just how wonderful an ingredient honey is.

It’s just so thick and creamy. One of my greatest beauty-related pleasures is digging my fingers into a really rich body butter. I can’t be alone on that one, right? This particular formula is made with a high concentration of shea butter, honey, moringa seed oil and peach blossom extract to make skin plump, supple and hydrated. It sinks in easily and leaves a very fine protective layer on the body, which maintains the moisture level for around 24 hours.

See how thick it is? Gorgeous. Massage all over the body following your shower, concentrated on really dry bits like the knees and elbows. It’ll also leave skin scented with a sweet honey-floral scent of apricot, peach blossom, honey, coconut and tonka, which I must admit is a key factor in my growing addiction to this gorgeous range…

Crabtree & Evelyn English Honey and Peach Blossom All Purpose Balm

The other must-have product from the range is the English Honey and Peach Blossom All Purpose Balm, a little pot of golden nectar. I absolutely love it. Its size is akin to a tub of lip balm, and yet it’s designed for use anywhere on the body. “How can one small tub possibly go that far?”, I hear you ask. Well, it’s all down to its beautiful balm-to-oil texture that just lasts and lasts.

Upon opening the tub, the balm appears to be quite solid. Be careful running your finger over it, though – it has a deceptively melting texture! Take a tiny dot of product and massage it into the affected area for instant relief from dryness, and a lovely dose of the sweet honey and peach blossom fragrance. I use this primarily on my lips; the superfine balm-oil sinks in with a satin finish rather than a thick, balmy layer, making it a perfect base for lipstick. I also use it on isolated patches of ultra dryness, particularly on the tops of my arms and my neck, and it does a wonderful job on those, too.

You can get a better idea of just how tactile the texture is here, which belies its ultra nourishing beeswax, shea butter and honey formulation. It’s really lightweight, and very versatile. Finally, an all-purpose balm which can truly be used anywhere!
