We all know that a New Year calls for new favourites, new routines and new interests, so we’re here to tell you all about the need to know launches that have happened this month.
From the beautiful couture house spring collections, right through to ingredient innovations in French Pharmacy skincare, January has been strong for new beauty and we’re so excited to share our latest instalment of our ultimate 9 favourites with you….

January is a month of change, and as much as I haven’t stuck to all my resolutions, I’ve definitely been on a BIG beauty discovery this month. On the lookout for speedy solutions that can cater to my new ‘wake up earlier and keep less clutter in the house’ mantra, here’s what’s piqued my interest and made the cut this month…
Givenchy Gloss Interdit Vinyl in 1 Rose Révélateur
I used to run out of the door every morning and forget my lip colour, not anymore now I have the Givenchy Gloss Interdit Vinyl in 1 Rose Révélateur; its delicate hue disguises the fact that my beauty routine can sometimes be rather rushed!
I love a lot of things about this gloss, but what keeps me going back is the perfect pop of pink it gives my lips. So if its pH balancing formula can make me look alive when I’m running for the train, it can work wonders for everyone else.
GUERLAIN Météorites Heart Shape Strobing Palette
Inside and out, this GUERLAIN Météorites Heart Shape Strobing Palette is absolutely gorgeous and it’s pretty clever. I was so amazed at how much the pink colour combination lifted my skin (more speedy beauty points!).
You can use the shades individually to sculpt, shade and shape your complexion, or use them together for an instant glow up. Finally, I can’t stress the fact of how amazing it smells. Météorites fans, you know what I mean!
Paco Rabanne Olympéa Aqua Eau de Parfum Légère Spray
There’s something about Olympéa I just can’t resist, whether it be the original or the intense Eau de Parfum; I just love its almost edible smell of sweet and salty vanilla!
However, there’s a new Olympéa that I’ve fallen in love with: Paco Rabanne Olympéa Aqua Eau de Parfum Légère Spray. The freshest flanker in the squad, Olympea Aqua has an airy sensual side that I don’t doubt will soon become a January favourite of yours too…

Gone are the days of a beauty drought after Christmas… these days, January is one of the most exciting months for new launches! Case in point, my favourite launches of the month: an excellent new lipstick from GIVENCHY, a brilliantly effective hyaluronic acid serum, and an innovative new way to wear sunscreen. Hello 2018!
GIVENCHY Le Rouge Mat in 215 – Neo Nude
There’s a very real possibility that GIVENCHY launched my product of 2018 a mere 18 days into the New Year with their reveal of Le Rouge Mat. That has to be some sort of personal record!
La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 Hyaluronic Acid Serum
If I had to describe the effects of the delightful La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 Hyaluronic Acid Serum in just one word, it would be plump. If bouncy, fresh and glowy skin is your sort of thing, then this cushiony serum is well worth a try.
The Hyalu B5 Hyaluronic Acid Serum utilises two different types of hyaluronic acid (vitamin B5 and madecassoside) to not only deeply hydrate skin and smooth fine lines, but also repair signs of damage that can make skin appear dull. Wan and sallow winter complexions don’t stand a chance.
And finally, an incredible invention that’s set to change the way you think about sun protection. The Vichy Ideal Soleil Hydrating Solar Protective Water SPF30 is a really cool daily-use spray that makes the application of sun protection so effortless. It sprays on as a hydrating water, which you then massage onto skin as you would do with sun protection you’ve used in the past.
So, what’s the difference between this and the protection that you’ve come to rely upon from creamy sunscreens? Well, none! Apart from the fact that there’s no white marks, no sticky texture and absolutely no faff. One of two new Solar Protective Waters from Vichy (Tan-Enhancing is coming soon), this version has an infusion of hyaluronic acid and 40% Vichy Mineralising Water for added hydration in the sun.

January isn’t my favourite month of the year I’ll admit, so my favourites this month have been all about injecting some energy into my life! From skincare to fragrance, my January must-haves are uplifting and radiance-enhancing – the perfect combination to get rid of those January blues…
GUERLAIN Météorites CC Glow Highlighter in Apricot
The nights are notoriously dark in January and lately, my under eyes have been too. So, you can imagine my delight when the GUERLAIN Météorites Colour Corrector Concealers landed on our beauty desk – Emma and Chelsey had no chance!
I immediately tested the shade peach and really loved the result – they’re not too heavy so feel super comfortable and added anti-wrinkle peptides and hydrating ingredients give the under eyes a smooth finish.
Jimmy Choo Blossom Special Edition Eau de Parfum
January starts fresh and new but quickly becomes dreary and in the UK, wet. So, this month I have found myself finding sunshine of the olfactory type instead with Jimmy Choo’s Blossom Special Edition.
The fruity-floral perfume is getting me really excited for spring and I have a soft spot for anything with frangipani flower in it – if you’re all about exotic aromas you’ll love that note too!
Vichy Slow ge Night Fresh Cream & Mask
After a somewhat indulgent December, the Vichy Slow ge Night Cream & Mask was just what I needed.
All about detoxifying your skin overnight, this night cream/mask hybrid melts into skin and gives it a much-needed reboot thanks to added pure resveratrol and antioxidant baicalin. And I can report that after use you’ll awake to skin that feels silky soft and visibly plumper!
