We’re only a few weeks into the start of 2017, and brands are already knocking it out of the park with their new releases. Annick Goutal Tenue de Soiree
Your eyes aren’t deceiving you, that perfume bottle you see in the above picture is Annick Goutal! They’ve taken a slight side-step away from their usual aesthetic with Tenue de Soiree, a whimsical scent that’s inspired by the olfactory scene of Paris at dusk. The fragrance within that magnificent bottle matches the mood of elegant audacity perfectly, with a blend of gourmand notes structured by sophisticated iris heart. If you like your scents to have a cheeky wink, it’s a must-try.

Givenchy Rouge Interdit Lipstick
If there were an Oscars for lipstick, Givenchy would win in every category. Hands down. Their limited edition offerings, in particular, are the stuff makeup dreams are made of! This year they’re treating lipstick lovers once again to some exciting innovation in the form of Rouge Interdit, a luxurious satin finish lipstick in a seriously good array of colours. From the chicest of nudes to audacious violet (and my favourite, 9 Rose Alibi, above), it’s a strong start to 2017 for Givenchy.

L’Occitane Shea Butter Intensive Hand Balm
An icon has been reborn! The original L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream is a complete beauty workhorse; it quietly wins awards left right and centre because it just works. With the new L’Occitane Shea Butter Intensive Hand Balm, L’Occitane takes the cocooning care of the original and amplifies it with an incredible 25% concentration of shea butter, which lavishes hands with sumptuousness. I use this every day, and I’ve not had a dry patch all winter!

Tisserand Sweet Dreams Pillow Mist
It only takes a few spritzes of the Tisserand Sweet Dreams Pillow Mist and I’m out like a light. Already a proud owner of the Sweet Dreams Bath Oil, Body Oil and Rollerball, I absolutely adore this collection. Not your average lavender-infused scent, its peaceful blend of lavender, sandalwood and jasmine are the easy route to a peaceful night’s sleep.

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Mascara
Finally! I’ve been anticipating the launch of this mascara since last year, and I’m absolutely ecstatic that it’s here. La Petite Robe Noire lovers, take note! The brush is completely unique and doesn’t just tackle one lash goal. Expect dramatic volume, curl, length and definition with this one. Plus, my favourite aspect is that the want is actually shaped to resemble a little black dress – so chic.

ALAIA Alaia Paris Blanche Eau de Parfum
When I heard that ALAIA was bringing out a new fragrance, I was already sold by the notes of almond milk and animalistic facets. Delicate but still empowering, I haven’t been able to stop spritzing! ALAIA Paris Blanche has fast become my office go-to fragrance. I love that it’s as light as an Eau de Toilette but has the longevity of an Eau de Parfum – sold.

Givenchy Teint Couture Cushion Foundation
I can’t say I’m surprised that I’m in love with this foundation. Not only does it have the chicest packaging, but it makes my skin look super healthy and radiant. Lightweight, with medium coverage, it’s exactly what I look for in a foundation. And lucky for us, it’s an Escentual exclusive!

Paco Rabanne Olympea Intense Eau de Parfum
If you’re an avid reader of our monthly favourites, you’ll know that I have a soft spot for a white floral. It all began with a Guerlain Terracotta soft spot, which then lead to a love affair with Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Esscence de Parfum and now culminates with a downright obsession with Olympea Intense. A cocktail of exotic, creamy and floral notes it’s my New Year addiction.

Guerlain Happy Glow Pearls
I’m a huge fan of Guerlain Meteorites – the original pearls are an integral part of my beauty stash! So imagine my delight when Guerlain Happy Glow Pearls landed on my desk. Created in celebration of 30 years of Meteorites, the Happy Glow Pearls have more of a highlighting focus, which is exactly why I didn’t feel that one bit guilty picking them up! And I’ve been loving them ever since…
