3 Beauty Resolutions We’re Keeping In 2023

3 Beauty Resolutions We’re Keeping In 2023

Beauty has made a comeback this year, and with it, the old bad beauty habits that we can’t shake! But don’t worry, I’m not judging; I’m as guilty as the next person. For me, it’s cleaning my makeup brushes. I need to clean them once a week, but I don’t. We’re all human, right?

As the new year is all about fresh starts, I asked the Escentual Beauty team to share their beauty resolutions for 2023, and this is what they said…

1. Clean Your Makeup Brushes Regularly

What’s your new year’s beauty resolution for 2023?
My new year’s beauty resolution is to wash my makeup brushes every week.

Why did you choose this resolution?
I work hard on my skincare routine, so it seems silly to ruin it with makeup-clogged brushes! I’m making a promise to wash them every Sunday so that they apply makeup efficiently and no unwanted transfer will spoil my flawless base. I also know how important it is to clean my brushes because they harbour dirt and bacteria, and I don’t want them to cause a surprise breakout, either!

2. Minimise Your Beauty Stash

What’s your new year’s beauty resolution for 2023?
I’m going to commit to using 100% of a product before buying anything new.

Why did you choose this resolution?
Hoarder alert! To give you an idea of what I mean, I own over 30 foundations and countless perfumes, which is a waste of space, time and money. Instead of buying more, I plan to use up products and only buy new ones if I run out (or get a reaction). I want to be more sustainable with beauty, and this is a good starting place for a hoarder like me.

3. Take Better Care Of Your Hair

Name: Ceryn
What’s your new year’s beauty resolution for 2023?
Take better care of my hair!

Why did you choose this resolution?
It’s the one area of my beauty routine that’s lacking. I’m hoping it’ll grow a few inches by giving it more TLC, too. I’m getting married in the Summer of 2023, and I cut my hair short a few months ago (don’t ask me why), so I am giving my hair all the love at the moment. I plan to take Hair Gain Gummies daily, do a hair mask weekly, and even bought a Wet Brush Hairbrush to prevent snapping.
