It’s that time again – we’ve rounded up our beauty empties to show you what we’ve been loving in July! We’ll admit that we get to try lots of new launches and, as self-confessed beauty junkies, we’re always keen to try the latest products, while also remaining faithful to our old classic must-haves. This means, our beauty cabinets are full to bursting most of the time! So, you know if we’ve finished every last drop of something, we must have loved it. Take a peek at the beauty products that we finished up this July and see what we thought of them – and of course, find out whether they’ve made their way back into our virtual baskets….

Product Pick: Regenerate Advanced Toothpaste
Why did you buy this product? This was one that I was lucky enough to be gifted as a part of the care package we received from Escentual during lockdown.
What did you love about this product? If you keep up to date with our blog, then you might have spotted my regular technology series. If so, it probably shouldn’t come as any surprise that the thing I love most about this toothpaste is the tech; powered by exclusive, clinically proven technology, it’s designed to restore the original whiteness of teeth and rebuild lost enamel from the very first use!
Although I love that it helps keep my teeth fresh, clean and healthy, I must admit that I also like that it has a really pleasant minty flavour that isn’t too overpowering.
Will you be repurchasing it? (Or do you have your eye on something else next!) I was impressed with this toothpaste all-in-all, so I definitely think I might revisit it in the future. Although that being said, I might be tempted to try the new Regenerate Hypersensitive Toothpaste next as I have had bouts of sensitivity in the past.
What will you do with the empty? I’ll be popping it in the recycling.

Product Pick: Uriage Thermal Micellar Water
Why did you buy this product? When I did the brand rewrite on Uriage, I received training from brand experts and also got to try all of the products, and since then, I’ve been converted. I love Uriage products!
What did you love about this product? I love that it’s super gentle; it takes off all of my makeup without me needing to rub my face, even when I have stubborn mascara on. It’s packed with Uriage’s soothing thermal water, which helps to calm and hydrate my skin, and I love how soft and smooth my skin feels with each use.
Will you be repurchasing it? (Or do you have your eye on something else next!) I flick between this micellar water and the Bioderma Hydrabio H2O micellar water and I like to stock up on both. I’ve got a nearly full bottle of Bioderma’s water so I’ll continue using that and then most likely go back to this one.
What will you do with the empty? The bottle can easily be refilled, so I will try and find a new purpose for it, and if not, I’ll recycle it.

Product Pick: Avene Cleanance Comedomed Anti-Blemishes Concentrate
Why did you buy this product? I was having a bad breakout at the time, so I needed a moisturiser tailored towards blemishes, which wouldn’t aggravate or strip my dry and sensitive skin.
What did you love about this product? I love how much I can rely on this moisturiser to take care of my skin on spotty days! As soon as my skin starts to play up, it’s the first thing I reach for! When I’m having a bad breakout, I am always relieved when I open the bathroom cabinet and see this treatment because I know it’s going to help calm down any breakouts straight away, while preventing them from reappearing (so as you can imagine, the moment I realised it had run out, it was a very sad day!)
Avene Comedomed is a must for anyone who struggles with everything from acne to the odd blemish and breakout here and there, just like myself. The hardworking formula isn’t at all drying, absorbs quickly and feels super calming and hydrating, which is something other spot treatments I’ve used in the past have been lacking.
Will you be repurchasing it? (Or do you have your eye on something else next!) Yes – it leaves a big gap in my routine that needs to be filled!
What will you do with the empty? Recycle it!

Product Pick: Clarins Instant Eye Make-Up Remover
Why did you buy this product? I stole it off my sister, does that count?
What did you love about this product? It’s irreplaceable! Unlike other eye makeup removers, this one doesn’t sting my eyes, make them blurry or take ages to work its magic. It’s speedy, gentle and effective.
Will you be repurchasing it? (Or do you have your eye on something else next!) Yes; now I have it, I can’t be without it.
What will you do with the empty? The bottle is fully recyclable, so I will be popping it out in my recycling this week!

Product Pick: Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
Why did you buy this product? Because of skincare blogger, Thuy Le! About 2 years ago, I watched Thuy’s YouTube channel, where she spoke about the importance of a setting spray. At the time, I was struggling with my foundation becoming transparent throughout the day, as well as pesky creases appearing where my makeup had slipped. So, when I heard about this high-tech weightless spray, I just had to try it and see what all the hype was about.
What did you love about this product? Previously, I didn’t understand the importance of setting spray, but as soon as I tried the Urban Decay All Nighter Spray, I knew I could never go back. The longevity is amazing! I’ve had this bottle for just over 6 months – a little goes a long way. With up to 16 hours of wear, I love that my makeup looks the same throughout the day, no matter the situation. Plus, the spray offers a nice cooling finish to my makeup routine – perfect for holiday looks!
Will you be repurchasing it? (Or do you have your eye on something else next!) Since my first purchase, Urban Decay have launched various additions to this range; I’d love to try the All Nighter Glow or All Nighter Pollution spray next – I just need to decide which one. However, next on my list is Benefit’sPOREfessional Super Setter Setting Spray; I can’t wait to see what it has to offer.
What will you do with the empty? Recycle it, of course!
