bareMinerals Mineralist Micro-Defining Brow Pencil Review

My eyebrows have always been my beauty bugbear. I overplucked them when I was a teen, and they’ve been sparse ever since. That’s why I am the perfect person to road-test bareMinerals’ latest eyebrow pencil, the Mineralist Brow Pencil. So, here’s everything you need to know…

The Most Important Thing About The bareMinerals Mineralist Brow Pencil Is…

It’s a long-wearing, waterproof eyebrow pencil with a micro-tip that helps you to draw on thin, hair-like strokes so your finished eyebrows look natural yet full.

What Does It Look Like On?

Incredibly natural. The tear-shaped nib creates very real-looking brow hairs. The pencil’s pigment is perfect, not too bold that you get smudges or too weak that you have to build up a lot of product.

You Will Love This If…

If you have sparse eyebrows and have struggled to fill them in, this eyebrow pencil will be right up your alley. It makes filling in really easy, and the result is very natural, no matter how heavy-handed you are. Even if you mess it up, you can wipe it off (if you work quickly) and start again. Plus, the spoolie on the other end is a must-have for brushing out any excess product.

Hero Ingredients:

It doesn’t just fill in your eyebrows. It also conditions your brow hairs with argan oil and panthenol. The result is naturally fuller-looking brows over time.

What Does It Feel Like?

The pencil itself is creamy, but you can barely feel it on your skin.

What Does It Smell Like?

It’s fragrance-free.

What’s Special About The Design?

As you’d expect with a micro-tip pencil, the pencil itself is very thin. Great news for saving space in your makeup bag! The pencil’s tip has a unique teardrop nib, which helps create a hair-like stroke easily. Even though the nib is ultra-thin, it feels sturdy, which is great news if you’re sick of eye pencils snapping on you like me. I love that the product itself is coloured to match the pencil’s shade – I was testing two, so it made finding the one I wanted really easy.

How Do You Use It?

Use the spoolie to brush up your brows. Next, use the pencil to draw hair-like strokes in the direction of your natural hair growth. When you’ve finished, brush through your brows with the spoolie.

Values?

It’s dermatologist-tested, cruelty-free, vegan, paraben-free, gluten-free, talc free, synthetic fragrance-free, PEG-free, tree nut-free, and SLS-free.
