Binky Autumn Copper Eye Look

Binky's Signature

Everyone knows that certain colours suit certain times of the year – be it luscious fruity brights in summer, or festive reds, golds and greens at Christmas. Autumn, of course, is all about rich coppery shades that conjure thoughts of crackling bonfires and tumbling leaves (look at me, getting all poetic!).

Now that my inner artist has been awakened, I’ve been inspired to create the perfect autumnal eye make-up look, using heavenly chocolate browns and shimmering copper tones. I hope you love it as much as I do…

Products Used

Step 1: Eyebrows

Once you’ve created a smooth, even base by your preferred method (I’m into BB creams at the mo, but you can use anything for this look from full foundation and powder to a hint of tinted moisturizer), begin at the brows. Use the bareMinerals Frame & Define Eyebrow Pencil – to neaten and shape your eyebrows. Fill in any patchy areas by on drawing light, short strokes until you’ve achieved your desired shape and colour. The DiorShow Brow Styler pencil is also great for this.

Step 2: Eyes

Begin by creating a base for your eyeshadow, using bareMinerals Prime Time on your eyelids. Then take the light pink colour from the Clarins Eye Quartet Rosewood palette and blend it across your lids. Next, apply the light brown shade from the same palette along your lash line, then add bareMinerals High Shine Eye Colour in Bronzed along the socket line, using a soft, fluffy brush to blend the shades into one another. Now apply the dark brown shade from the Clarins palette along the lash line. Finally, use an angled brush to apply the gold shade from the bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow Palette in The Next Big Thing along the lower lash line. Finish up with a couple of coats of Clarins Instant Definition Mascara.

Step 3: Bronzer

Give your face a liberal dusting of bareMinerals Ready Bronzer, using a big fluffy brush to blend it across cheeks, forehead and nose – you can even apply it along your neck and jawline if you want to contour your face shape. Bronzer will not only add a lovely healthy glow to pale winter complexions, it will also help pull the entire look together, with warm, golden tones applied across eyes and cheeks.

Step 4: Lips

Last but not least, give your lips a hint of colour. I’ve used Daniel Sandler Lipshine in Buff – it’s a shimmery nude shade that ties in perfectly with the eye colours and really completes the look, creating a professional polished result.
