Now this is my kind of month. All of the designer autumn looks are launching, and all I can think about is which burgundy lip will make the cut for me this fall. Surrounded by sensual scents and beautiful makeup pieces, a few things happened to accidently slipped into my basket this August. But do you blame me? Especially when the new in section has been too hard to resist!

DIOR Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Powder 001
As soon as I set eyes on the DIOR Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer, I knew I just had to have it. Since my finger clicked ‘CHECKOUT’, I can honestly say that my complexion has never looked better. The sheen, the undertone, the packaging… I just adore, Dior! See my swatch of the shade here
Schwarzkopf Professional BC Bonacure Oil Miracle Barbary Fig & Keratin Restorative Mask
You’re probably aware by now that I’m partial to the odd peroxide highlight. So my only option for conditioner is something intense and transformative – hello Schwarzkopf! I need serious help when it comes to conditioning my thirsty mane, but I’m very picky when it comes to perfecting my colour. The Schwarzkopf Professional BC Bonacure Oil Miracle Barbary Fig & Keratin Restorative Mask is everything I need and more. Its intense moisture formula doesn’t dull my blonde and it smells absolutely divine. Swish goals, right there!

GIVENCHY Rouge Interdit Vinyl 02 – Beige Indecent
Who would have thought it? Feeling comfortable in the nude feels better than ever and it’s all thanks to the GIVENCHY Rouge Interdit Vinyl in 02 Beige Indecent. This barely-there beauty is the perfect everyday lip for those for want their lips to look understated. But! It’s really felt like summer this month, which isn’t something that can often be said in the UK. The sun has shown its face and thus my favourites have a very summery feel to them. I have re-jigged my beauty stash to fit with the warmer weather and my nearing holiday I’m head over heels with everything, I hope you will be too!

BOSS The Scent For Her Eau de Parfum
Ever sprayed a fragrance and instantly wanted to douse yourself in it? That’s how I felt when I spritzed Hugo Boss The Scent For Her. If you love sweet, fruity-floral scents you may too love The Scent For Her, it’s the type of fragrance that instantly makes you feel feminine, without being overly girly. There’s something so sunny and seductive about this scent that’s made me decide to take it on my upcoming holiday.
Schwarzkopf Professional Osis+ Soft Glam Air-Dry Salt Mist
I don’t know why, but as soon as the sun comes out it makes me want to put a lot more effort into my hair and makeup. So lately I have been reaching for the styling staple that is the Schwarzkopf Professional Osis+ Soft Glam Air-Dry Salt Mist. The salt mist adds tousled texture to my locks in a few spritzes and also protects it from blow-drying and UV light – just what the doctor ordered!

Shiseido IBUKI Quick Fix Mist
Temperatures have soared in the UK over the last few weeks and we’ve definitely felt it in Escentual HQ. Sitting at our desks daydreaming of cold breezes there was one product that saved the day time and time again – the Shiseido IBUKI Quick Fix Mist. The refreshing mist always lives on my desk, usually to ensure my skin stays in tip-top shape, but lately, it’s been an instant refresher!

The summer-to-autumn beauty switch is my favourite of the year. It’s the perfect time to experiment! This month I’ve been challenging my usual beauty status quo with some makeup that I never thought I’d be able to wear, and a fragrance that’s a little more floral than I’d usually go for – but what’s beauty without adventure?

Givenchy Prisme Visage
Now, my skin normally hates powder. It’s just too dry and the powder ends up clinging to my flaky patches and making my complexion feel tight and uncomfortable. But not anymore. The newly reformulated Prisme Visage powder from Givenchy is not only seriously beautiful with a killer shade selection, it also miraculously makes powder accessible to me again. The magic lies in its super-soft texture, which is so fine it’s almost creamy. It buffs on in a satin veil that doesn’t sap the moisture from your face, but rather helps your makeup to look diffused and utterly natural. See the shade selection and swatches in my review post here.
Acqua di Parma Peonia Nobile
The latest entry in Acqua di Parma’s magnificent collection of soliflore masterpieces is Peonia Nobile, a joyful take on the blush pink bloom that features in many an Instagram feed. Peonies have a relatively short flowering season (normally May through to July), which gives them a prized, fleeting beauty, and Acqua di Parma captures this preciousness effortlessly. The fluffy, plush peony blossoms are embellished with touches of joyful raspberry, bright geranium and sensuous patchouli, celebrating the elegance of summer with every spritz.

Avene Skin Recovery Cream
If I had to give the crown of workhorse staple to just one product in my skincare regime, this’d be it. Day cream, night cream, replenishing mask, makeup primer… the Skin Recovery Cream is Avene’s Jack of all trades, and it does a fine job of it. The reason I keep revisiting the Skin Recovery Cream over and over is that it always brings my skin back into balance. Whether it’s overly dry or experiencing a random redness flare-up, this unassuming, satin-finish cream will make my complexion feel comfortable again. If you’re looking for something simple yet effective, this is it.
Over to you!
