Our big summer sale has kicked off today, and it’s a promotion that’s set to make your summer that little bit sweeter – we’re offering at least 20% off all products* until 26th July!
Now, I know what you’re thinking. What with all of the new summer collections, the flurry of new fragrances and all of the skincare you haven’t gotten around to trying yet, there’s just too much choice. Well, I’ve got you covered – below is a list of my top 10 biggest, best and the most desirable new launches to hit the site this summer, plus some timeless beauty and fragrance icons that you may have always wanted to try.
1) Dior DiorBlush Cheek Creme Full Beam Cheeks
The first product on my list is the brand new DiorBlush Cheek Creme, Dior’s first foray into creamy cheek colour. Each little pigmented pot is filled with the most incredibly bouncy mousse-cream blush that blends really easily and stays put all day. The ease of use is almost criminal! I’ve tried and loved the angelic pink of Capri and the vibrant fuchsia of Pareo – Bikini’s sweet watermelon hue is next on my wish list. (See my review here.)
2) Real Techniques Travel Essentials Kit
Another beauty fan favourite is the Real Techniques brush range, a core collection of cruelty-free, colour coded brushes from YouTube make-up guru Samantha Chapman. Each brush gives flawless results without breaking the bank, plus there are a wealth of tutorials from Sam herself and reviews from fellow beauty lovers online showing you just how to use each one. See the entire collection here.
3) Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micellar Solution
Recently voted top micellar water cleanser by a panel of 100 beauty writers in our anonymous micellar water blind trial (read the results here), this is one cult product that certainly lives up to the hype. If you haven’t tried it yourself, then we have a compact 100ml size for sale that gives you a feel for what it’s all about. For the already converted, we’re offering a limited run of 500ml bottles, as well as the regular 250ml.
4) Serge Lutens Feminite du Bois
Our fragrance expert Thomas, aka Candy Perfume Boy, says: “Féminité du Bois contrasts spicy cedar wood against stewed fruits. The effect is akin to a luxury piece of couture – sharp, angular and impeccably crafted.” A confident and sophisticated fragrance, and one of the most popular of Serge Lutens’ highly-esteemed aromas, Féminité du Bois is a must-try for those interested in the world of niche perfumery.
5) Guerlain Terra Nerolia Tan-Enhancing Bronzer
Brand new from Guerlain this month is the oversized Terra Nerolia bronzer, a neroli scented post-summer complexion must-have. The infamous texture of the Guerlain bronzer is just the thing for enhancing the look of your natural tan, while the perky orange blusher in the center enlivens the complexion beautifully. (Read more and see swatches here.)
6) Philip Kingsley Elasticizer
Originally created to tend to the locks of Audrey Hepburn, Elasticizer is the brainchild of world-renowned trichologist Philip Kingsley. The pre-shampoo treatment aims to intensely moisturise the hair when it’s at its most damaged and vulnerable, restoring its flexibility and overall health without overloading it. It’s a hair hero!
7) Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Male
According to Escentual team member Alan, “’intensely fresh’ is the description on the metal outer packaging, and it definitely does what it says on the tin!” Le Beau Male is the twin brother to the iconic Le Male fragrance, a new iteration that focuses upon exerting an icier and more virile character with notes of mint and absinthe. (See Alan’s review here.)
8) L’Occitane Almond Foaming Shower Oil
This is perhaps the most indulgent shower product I’ve ever had the joy of trying, and I know of many others who would agree with me! If you’re prone to dryness, then this silky oil-to-foam texture feels incredible both during and after your cleansing routine. My favourite part, though? The incredible almond and apple fragrance.
9) Mason Pearson Brush Bristle/Nylon Pocket BN4
There’s something special about a Mason Pearson brush. It’s not just they’re a backstage and celebrity favourite; for me, it’s that they’re built to last. We have many customer reviews stating that they were encouraged to get a Mason Pearson brush because their elder relatives had used and loved theirs for very many years – I don’t think there’s a better endorsement than that!
10) Givenchy Gentlemen Only
One of my favourite men’s launches of this year is a decidedly low-key affair: Givenchy Gentlemen Only, a sleek and smooth aroma inspired by the original Gentleman fragrance. Charming, modern and effortless, I love the combination of ultra fresh mandarin with the tactile warmth of pink pepper, nutmeg and an unusual skin accord. Its appeal is sealed with the magnetic combination of patchouli and incense.
